The Maggie detects the magnetic field of ferromagnetic objects and features continuous sensitivity adjustment for finite control. Detect the magnetic fields of magnetized markers, manholes, septic tanks, well casings, valve boxes, cast iron pipes, steel drums, and unexploded ordnance.

Please Note: Magnetic locators can ONLY DETECT ferromagnetic objects. This item will NOT locate gold, silver or any other non ferrous object.

Schonstedt magnetic locators are designed for the accurate and reliable location of buried ferrous metal objects, such as:

  • Manhole covers
  • Steel pipe joints
  • Kerb & valve boxes
  • Reinforced septic tanks
  • Steel enclosures
  • Well casings
  • Unexploded ordnance

These magnetic locators are better than metal detectors when searching for ferrous metal objects as you will get much improved depth (up to 6 metres depth depending on the size of the object and soil conditions) as well as the locator will not pick up non-ferrous metals that may be around what you are trying to locate.
